Kim Umback
Kim Umback is a Canadian cross-country skier. She represented Canada at the 1988 Winter Paralympics and she competed in three events in cross-country skiing. She won the bronze medal in the women's 3x5 km relay B1-3 event together with Sandra Lecour and Tricia Lovegrove. She also competed in the women's short distance 5 km B2 and women's long distance 10 km B2 events. Competitive cross-country skiing encompasses a variety of race formats and course lengths. Rules of cross-country skiing are sanctioned by the International Ski Federation and by various national organizations. Leber's Congenital Amaurosis
Leber congenital amaurosis (LCA) is a rare inherited eye disease that appears at birth or in the first few months of life. It affects about 1 in 40,000 newborns. LCA was first described by Theodor Leber in the 19th century. It should not be confused with Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy, which is a different disease also described by Theodor Leber.
