Kim Sung-Min (; born 19 April 1985) is a South Korean footballer who plays as a forward for Maharlika Manila in the Philippines Football League. Club career Davao Aguilas In January 2018, Kim joined Philippines Football League club Davao Aguilas. On 21 April, he scored his first goal for Davao in a 3–2 win over JPV Marikina. On 16 June, he scored a brace against Stallion Laguna in a 5–0 victory. Kim ended the season with eight league goals, and Davao Aguilas finished third in the league. In the Copa Paulino Alcantara, Kim scored a brace in Davao's last group match, a 4–0 win against Stallion Laguna. On 21 October, he scored four goals in a 6–1 thrashing of JPV Marikina in the semi-final. The ''Maharlika'' (meaning freeman or freedman) were the feudal warrior class in ancient Tagalog society in Luzon, the Philippines. They belonged to the lower nobility class similar to the ''Timawa'' of the Visayan people. In modern Filipino, however, the word referred to aristocrats or to royal nobility, which was actually restricted to the hereditary ''Maginoo'' class. Overview The ''Maharlika'' were a martial class of freemen. Like the ''Timawa'', they were free vassals of their ''Datu'' who were exempt from taxes and tribute but were required to provide military service. In times of war, the ''Maharlika'' were obligated to provide and prepare weapons at their own expense and answer the summons of the ''Datu'', wherever and whenever that might be, in exchange for a share in the war spoils (''ganima''). 2018 Copa Paulino Alcantara
The 2018 Copa Paulino Alcantara was the first edition of the Copa Paulino Alcantara, the domestic football cup competition of the Philippines. The competition started on September 1, 2018 and concluded on October 27, 2018, with Kaya–Iloilo winning the inaugural tournament after defeating Davao Aguilas 1–0 in extra time. The winners qualified for the 2019 AFC Cup. Participating clubs All six clubs of the 2018 Philippines Football League are eligible to participate in the tournament. Rappler (portmanteau of the words "rap" and "ripple") is a Filipino online news website based in Pasig, Metro Manila, the Philippines.
