Kim Seong-hyun
Kim Seong-hyun ( Hangul: 김성현, Hanja: 金成鉉; born January 3, 1989, in Daegu) is a former South Korean pitcher who formerly played for the Nexen Heroes and the LG Twins in the KBO League. He batted and threw right-handed. Amateur career Kim enrolled at Daegu High School in 2005, but he transferred to Jeju Tourism High School (the only high school in Jeju-do to have a baseball team) after the 2005 season. After sitting out the first half of the 2006 season as required under the Korea Baseball Association rules for transfer students, Kim subsequently became the top right-handed starting pitcher at the high school level, hurling a four-hit complete game shutout with 13 strikeouts on June 30, 2006, in the first round of the Golden Lion Flag National Championship. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. No-hitter
In baseball, a no-hitter is a game in which a team was not able to record a hit. Major League Baseball (MLB) officially defines a no-hitter as a completed game in which a team that batted in at least nine innings recorded no hits. A pitcher who prevents the opposing team from achieving a hit is said to have "thrown a no-hitter". In most cases, no-hitters are recorded by a single pitcher who throws a complete game; one thrown by two or more pitchers is a combined no-hitter. Park Hyun-june ( Hangul: 박현준, Hanja: 朴顯俊; born September 22, 1986, in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do) is a South Korean pitcher. South Korea National Baseball Team
The South Korean national baseball team ( ko, 대한민국 야구 국가대표팀) is the national baseball team of South Korea. It won the Baseball World Cup in 1982, and participated in the Summer Olympic Games of 1984, 1988, 1996, and 2000. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, it won the gold medal in a final victory against Cuba. Currently, the South Korean men's baseball team is ranked third in the WBSC World Rankings. Adrian Mark Burnside (born 15 March 1977) is an Australian former baseball player born in Alice Springs. He was a member of the Australian Olympic baseball team, which achieved a silver medal in the Baseball at the 2004 Summer Olympics, baseball tournament at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. He later played for the Lamigo Monkeys in the Chinese Professional Baseball League in Taiwan. Lotte Giants
The Lotte Giants ( ko, 롯데 자이언츠) are a South Korean professional baseball team based in Busan. They are a member of the KBO League. The Lotte Giants are owned by Lotte Corporation, which also owns the Chiba Lotte Marines of Nippon Professional Baseball.
