Kim Rennie
Kim Rennie (born 19 October 1994) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for North Melbourne in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She has previously played for the Western Bulldogs, having been signed as a rookie in 2017, after having converted to the sport from a previous background in basketball. She was upgraded to the Bulldogs' main playing list following an injury to captain Katie Brennan and subsequently made her debut in the 73-point win over at VU Whitten Oval in round 4 of the 2018 season. She requested a trade to in May 2021, but North Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs were unable to reach an agreement, leaving her at the Bulldogs at the conclusion of the trade period. A few weeks later it was announced that Rennie declined the Western Bulldogs' contract offer and was delisted by the club. 2017 AFL Women's Draft
The 2017 AFL Women's draft consisted of the various periods when the eight clubs in the AFL Women's competition could recruit players prior to the competition's 2018 season. As the previous season's player contracts were all capped at one-year deals, all existing AFLW players must be re-signed prior to the 2018 season. Entering the second season of the competition, clubs will have larger list sizes, with 27 senior listed players (up from 25), and three rookie listed players (up from two). Whitten Oval
Whitten Oval (also known as Victoria University Whitten Oval under a naming rights agreement) is a stadium in the inner-western suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in Barkly Street, West Footscray. It is the training and administrative headquarters of the Western Bulldogs (formerly the Footscray Football Club), which competes in the Australian Football League (AFL). In the sport of Australian rules football, each of the eighteen players in a team is assigned to a particular named position on the field of play. These positions describe both the player's main role and by implication their location on the ground. As the game has evolved, tactics and team formations have changed, and the names of the positions and the duties involved have evolved too. Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground. North Melbourne Football Club
The North Melbourne Football Club, nicknamed the Kangaroos, is a professional Australian rules football club. Western Bulldogs
The Western Bulldogs are a professional Australian rules football team that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport's premier competition. Katie Brennan
Katie Brennan (born 2 October 1992) is an Australian rules footballer with and captain of the Richmond Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She previously played for and captained the Western Bulldogs from 2017 to 2019.
