Kilmoyley GAA
Kilmoyley are a Gaelic Athletic Association club in County Kerry, Ireland. They are located in North Kerry, the main hurling area of Kerry and are primarily hurlers. They are one of the most successful hurling clubs in Kerry. The club competes in competitions organized by Kerry GAA county board and the North Division hurling board. Gaelic Athletic Association
The Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA; ga, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael ; CLG) is an Irish international amateur sporting and cultural organisation, focused primarily on promoting indigenous Gaelic games and pastimes, which include the traditional Irish sports of hurling, camogie, Gaelic football, Gaelic handball and rounders. Kerry Minor Hurling Championship
The Kerry Minor Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as Keane’s SuperValu Killorglin Kerry County Minor Hurling Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Kerry County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association for the top Under 17 (previously Under 18) hurling teams in the county of Kerry in Ireland. John Meyler
John Meyler (born 1956) is an Irish hurling manager and former selector, association footballer, Gaelic footballer and hurler who is currently the manager of the Kilmoyley senior hurling team. He has formerly managed the Kerry, Wexford, Carlow and Cork senior hurling teams. Meyler's inter-county career spanned fifteen years. Beginning as a dual minor with Wexford, he later played with the county's under-21 and senior sides. After joining the Cork senior team in 1982, Meyler won an All-Ireland medal in 1986. As a dual player with the St Finbarr's club, Meyler won seven county championship medals across both codes, dual Munster medals and an All-Ireland medal as captain of the club's football team in 1987. As a manager, selector, coach and trainer, Meyler has previously worked with club sides Kilmoyley, Ballinhassig, Courcey Rovers and Inniscarra, and inter-county teams Kerry, Wexford and Carlow. Anthony Daly (hurler)
Anthony Daly (born 22 October 1969) is an Irish former hurler who played as a left wing-back for the Clare senior hurling team. Born in Clarecastle, County Clare, Daly first played competitive hurling during his schooling at St. Flannan's College. He arrived on the inter-county scene when he first linked up with the Clare minor team before later joining the under-21 side. He made his senior debut during the 1989–90 National League. Daly subsequently became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won two All-Ireland medals and three Munster medals. He captained the team to the All-Ireland title in 1995 and 1997. As a member of the Munster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, Daly won two Railway Cup medals. At club level he is a one-time Munster medallist with Clarecastle. Tom Collins (Gaa Player)
Tom Collins was a dual player from County Kerry, Ireland. He played hurling with Kerry and Kilmoyley and football with Kerry and St Brendans. Shane Brick
Shane Brick (born ) is a hurler from County Kerry, Ireland. He has played with the Kerry intercounty team, and originally played his club hurling with Kilmoyley. He won six Kerry Senior Hurling Championship medals with Kilmoyley. In 2014, he switched to the southeast of Cork to play with Tracton GAA. He retired from playing in 2016, and joined the management team with Douglas GAA in 2019. Inter-county career With the Kerry county hurling team, he won National Hurling League Div 2 (2001) and Div 3A (2010) titles. He was also part of the Kerry team that made the 2010 final of the Christy Ring Cup, which was won by Westmeath. He missed the following years win with an injury, before returning in 2012. He later retired from inter-county hurling. Club career Brick originally played club hurling for Kilmoyley in County Kerry, with whom he won several Kerry Senior Hurling Championship titles. Féile Na NGael
Féile na nGael (; Irish for "Festival of the Gaels") is an annual tournament comprising the sports of hurling, camogie and handball organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association. Its stated aim is to bond communities, forge friendships, provide educational opportunities and unearth new leaders. The competition hosts approximately 25,000 boys and girls each year with all 32 of Ireland's Gaelic games counties represented along with teams from London and Warwickshire. Féile na nGael states that its primary objective is to facilitate and enable personal, social and cultural development amongst young people with emphasis on cultural and community activities, leadership and training through sport. Kerry Intermediate Hurling Championship
The Kerry Intermediate Hurling Championship is an annual hurling competition contested by mid-tier Kerry GAA clubs. Kilgarvan are the title holders (2022). Extra-time can be used to determine the winners of games. Honours The winners play in the Munster Junior Club Hurling Championship, such as Kilgarvan in 2018, and if successful there, can represent the province in the All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship. Unlike in other counties, the winning team is not automatically promoted to the senior grade after winning. Since Kerry has very few hurling clubs, many of the competing teams are second teams of clubs competing in the Kerry Senior Hurling Championship. Kilmoyley were also one of the current Munster finalists which they were in January 2022. They won that game to become the first Kerry club to a Munster intermediate title. All-Ireland Intermediate Club Hurling Championship
The GAA Hurling All-Ireland Intermediate Club Championship, known simply as the All-Ireland Club Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the second highest inter-county club hurling competition in Ireland, and has been contested every year since the 2004-05 championship. The final, currently held on the third Saturday in January, is the culmination of a series of games played between October and January with the winners receiving the cup. The All-Ireland Championship has always been played on a straight knockout basis whereby once a team loses they are eliminated from the championship.
