Paul Kessler was a Jewish American man who died at the age of 69 after being fatally injured in an altercation on November 5, 2023, between dueling pro-Israel and pro-Palestine demonstrations in Thousand Oaks, California, United States. Kessler's death has been ruled a homicide; as of a May 2024 press release from the prosecution, authorities have yet to find evidence of a hate crime. 2023 Shooting Of Palestinian Students In Burlington, Vermont
On November 25, 2023, three 20-year-old students of Palestinian descent were shot and injured in Burlington, Vermont. The students, who were visiting Burlington for Thanksgiving break, were wearing keffiyehs to show solidarity with Palestine amid the ongoing war in Gaza when they were shot near the University of Vermont. On October 14, 2023, Wadea al-Fayoume (), a six-year-old Palestinian-American boy, was killed when he was stabbed 26 times in his home in Plainfield Township, Illinois.
