Gaelic Athletic Association
The Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA; ga, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael ; CLG) is an Irish international amateur sporting and cultural organisation, focused primarily on promoting indigenous Gaelic games and pastimes, which include the traditional Irish sports of hurling, camogie, Gaelic football, Gaelic handball and rounders. The association also promotes Irish music and dance, as well as the Irish language. Gerry Kennedy
Gerry Kennedy (born 16 December 1985 in Killenaule, County Tipperary) is an Republic of Ireland, Irish sportsperson. He played hurling with his local club Killenaule GAA, Killenaule and with the Tipperary GAA, Tipperary senior inter-county team. Club Kennedy plays his club hurling with his local Killenaule GAA, Killenaule club and has enjoyed some success. Kennedy helped the club to win back-to-back county under-21 titles in 2003 and 2004 and he also won a South Senior Hurling medal with the club in 2005. He has yet to win a senior Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship, county title. Inter-county Kennedy first came to inter-county prominence as a member of the Tipperary GAA, Tipperray under-21 team. Declan Fanning
Declan Fanning (born 24 June 1979) is an Irish Gaelic footballer and hurler who played as right wing-back for the Tipperary senior team. Born in Killenaule, County Tipperary, Fanning first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor teams as a dual player, before later joining the under-21 sides. He made his senior football debut during the 2003 championship before making his hurling debut during the 2004 championship. Fanning went on to play a key part for Tipperary, and won one All-Ireland medal, two Munster medals and one National Hurling League medal. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. Damien McCormack (born 28 January 1987) is an Australian rules footballer formerly on the Western Bulldogs list in the Australian Football League (AFL). John O'Dwyer (born 17 September 1991) is an Irish hurling, hurler who plays for Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship, Tipperary Senior Championship club Killenaule GAA, Killenaule and previously played at inter-county level with the Tipperary senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a centre-forward. Joe O'Dwyer is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Killenaule and with the Tipperary senior inter-county team since 2015. He is a cousin of fellow Tipperary hurler John O'Dwyer. Donie O'Connell
Donie O'Connell (born 24 June 1960) is an Irish retired hurler. His league and championship career with the Tipperary senior team lasted ten seasons from 1981 to 1991. O'Connell first appeared for the Killenaule club at juvenile and underage levels, before eventually joining the club's adult team with whom he won three South Tipperary championship medals. O'Connell made his debut on the inter-county scene when he was selected for the Tipperary minor team as a dual player. He enjoyed two unsuccessful championship seasons in this grade. O'Connell subsequently joined the under-21 hurling team, winning back-to-back All-Ireland medals in 1980 and 1981. Pat Kerwick
Pat Kerwick (born 18 May 1982) is an Irish hurler who played as a right wing-back for the Tipperary senior team. Kerwick made his first appearance for the team during the 2006 Waterford Crystal Cup and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until he was dropped from the team prior to the 2012 National League. Kieran Bergin
Kieran Bergin (born 23 January 1986) is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Clonmel Óg and with the Tipperary senior inter-county team since 2013. Bergin is a nephew of Jack Bergin, who was a Tipperary selector when they won the All-Ireland title in 2001, he is also a first cousin of former Galway Footballer Joe Bergin. Bergin has also played with the Tipperary senior football team and was part of the panel for the 2013 McGrath Cup.
