LP Album
The LP (from "long playing" or "long play") is an analog sound storage medium, a phonograph record format characterized by: a speed of  rpm; a 12- or 10-inch (30- or 25-cm) diameter; use of the "microgroove" groove specification; and a vinyl (a copolymer of vinyl chloride acetate) composition disk. Introduced by Columbia in 1948, it was soon adopted as a new standard by the entire record industry. Apart from a few relatively minor refinements and the important later addition of stereophonic sound, it remained the standard format for record albums (during a period in popular music known as the album era) until its gradual replacement from the 1980s to the early 2000s, first by cassettes, then by compact discs, and finally by digital music distribution. Beginning in the late 2000s, the LP has experienced a resurgence in popularity. Format advantages At the time the LP was introduced, nearly all phonograph records for home use were made of an abrasive shellac compound ...

Fivespeed
Fivespeed was an American rock band, formed in Peoria, Arizona, United States, in 1997, and later based in Phoenix, Arizona. While in the beginning, Fivespeed's style was greatly influenced by the punk and hard-core movements,Garcia, Gilbert ''Speed Kills'', The Phoenix New Times, Jan. 17, 2002retrieved 01-09-12 its later efforts could be described as a mixture of nu metal and mainstream rock. History The Early Years Fivespeed released their self-titled debut EP, which also became known as ''First of The Compact Cars'', on what was then a brand new independent record label called Sunset Alliance Records, on May 22, 2001. Their label soon changed ownership, but that was all to Fivespeed's benefit, since the new owner, Dave Jensen, was one of their biggest fans. Jensen believed greatly in the band, and gambled big on their success, even mortgaging his house to help pay for the recording of their debut full-length. The band worked for five months with Larry Elyea at Mind's Eye Digi ...

The significance of his contributions to Before Braille are most obvious when discovering that some of the music from his solo-releases, such as ''Make Like a Tree'' from ''Of Black Water'' and ''Make Like a Tree Part 2'' from ''Get Phased'' directly inspire the Before Braille song ''Ticker Tape Charade'', which appeared on the ''Spring Cleaning'' album. Patel is also well known for his work as "lead bass player" in the band The Letterpress. Unlike many other bands, The Letterpress lacked an ...

Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin were an English rock band formed in London in 1968. The group comprised vocalist Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. With a heavy, guitar-driven sound, they are cited as one of the progenitors of hard rock and heavy metal, although their style drew from a variety of influences, including blues and folk music. Led Zeppelin have been credited as significantly impacting the nature of the music industry, particularly in the development of album-oriented rock (AOR) and stadium rock. Originally named the New Yardbirds, Led Zeppelin signed a deal with Atlantic Records that gave them considerable artistic freedom. Initially unpopular with critics, they achieved significant commercial success with eight studio albums over ten years. Their 1969 debut, '' Led Zeppelin'', was a top-ten album in several countries and featured such tracks as "Good Times Bad Times", " Dazed and Confused" and "Communication ...

Cattle Punching On A Jack Rabbit
''Cattle Punching on a Jack Rabbit'' is Before Braille's third studio recording and was released as a limited release Extended Play in 2004 by Sunset Alliance Records. All of ''Cattle Punching'' 's songs would later be re-released in 2005 by Sunset Alliance and You and Whose Army? Records as an imported full-length LP from the U.K., titled '' Tired of Not Being Away From Here''. Reception Critical reception While ''Cattle Punching on a Jack Rabbit'' took a marked deviation from the pop sounds of Before Braille's initial release, '' The Rumor'', it was generally well received. The critics at Interpunk.com immediately noticed this difference, remarking that in "the past, people have tried to lump Before Braille nto some sort of indie-pop rock category--maybe due to their success at CMJ & college radio--but this record is far edgier than anything they've done in the past."

Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Other notable scenes grew in Madchester, Manchester and Hamburger Schule, Hamburg, with many others thriving thereafter. In the 1980s, the use of the term "independent music, indie" (or " ...
