Alexander Kikin
Alexander Vasilievich Kikin (Александр Васильевич Кикин; ca. 1670-1718) was a political mentor and advisor to Alexei Petrovich, Tsarevich of Russia; accused of having arranged the flight abroad of the latter, Kikin was broken on the wheel. Kikin began his career as a bombardier in the toy army of Peter I. He accompanied the monarch in the Great Embassy and learned the mast-maker's craft in the Netherlands. Upon returning to Russia, Kikin helped build the first Russian warships in Voronezh and Olonets. In the January campaign of 1706 he had Mitau Castle blown up and retreated with his regiment toward Minsk. In 1707 Kikin was put in charge of the Admiralty Shipyard. He was a groomsman at Peter's second wedding. Kikin's old rivalry with Alexander Menshikov put him in a precarious position, however. In 1715 he was arrested on suspicion of graft and was forced to leave the capital for Moscow. A year later Peter relented, allowing him to return to the court. In ... Anna Kikina
Anna Yuryevna Kikina (russian: Анна Юрьевна Кикина, born 27 August 1984 in Novosibirsk) is a Russian engineer and cosmonaut, selected in 2012. She is the only woman cosmonaut currently in active service at Roscosmos. In June 2020, fellow cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko said that Kikina was expected to fly on a fall 2022 mission to the International Space Station (ISS) and perform a spacewalk during the mission. In September 2021, RIA Novosti reported that Kikina had been assigned to the Soyuz MS-22 mission, set to launch on 21 September 2022, for a 188-day mission. Pyotr Kikin
Pyotr Andreyevich Kikin (Russian: Пётр Андре́евич Ки́кин; 27 December 1775, Alatyr – 18 May 1834, Saint Petersburg?) was a Russian general and a Secretary of State under Tsar Alexander I. Biography He was one of twelve children born to Major Andrei Kikin (1747-1790) and his wife Maria Yermolova (1754-1819). His baptismal name was Bartholomei, but he never used it. As soon as he was old enough to take some responsibility, he was enrolled in the Guards and was a sergeant by the age of ten. He later studied in a boarding school at Moscow University and began his regular military career as an ensign in the Semyonovsky Regiment. From 1806 to 1812, he fought in the Russo-Turkish War, serving as an adjutant under General Michelson. He was promoted to colonel and almost immediately became involved in the French invasion of Russia, serving in the First Western Army.
