It puts on shows, cultural and historical festivals, horse-stunt shows, and international championships in ancient martial arts. The park integrates Rus' culture with that of medieval Europe. It is possible to see both Rus warriors and medieval knights typical of Europe. Detinets
Detinets (russian: Детинец) or Dytynets ( uk, Дитинець) is an ancient Rus' city-fort or central fortified part of a city, similar to the meaning of kremlin (fortification), citadel. The term was used in the Kievan Rus', in Chernihiv, Novgorod the Great (see Novgorod Detinets), Kyiv and others. Old Russian manuscripts mention detinets in various places of Kievan Rus since the end of the 11th century. From the 13th to the 14th century detinets was used only in the Russian Pskov-Novgorod region. The origin of the term is uncertain. Some derive it from the Old East Slavic word ''deti'' – "children", suggesting it was used to hide children and other less able people during the siege. Kopachi
Kopachi ( uk, Копачі, russian: Копачи) was a village near Chernobyl, Ukraine, just south-west of the Pripyat River Basin. After the Chernobyl disaster in 1986 the village was contaminated by fallout and subsequently evacuated and is now within the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone; and thus has been abandoned since 1986. History After Kopachi village was evacuated by the authorities, all the houses were torn down and buried, as an experiment. This village was not the only village suffering this fate as a result of the Chernobyl disaster. The only traces left of the village today is a series of mounds and a small number of surviving trees which are not part of the local native flora.
