Kieran Molloy (boxer)
Kieran Molloy is an Irish professional boxer. As an amateur, he won a bronze medal at the 2018 EU Championships. Professional career On December 16, 2021, Molloy signed a contract with promotional companies Top Rank and Conlan Boxing. He made his professional debut on February 26, 2022, at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, fighting on the undercard of Josh Taylor vs. Jack Catterall against Damian Esquisabel. Molloy won via technical knockout in the second round. He was scheduled to fight Johnathan Ryan Burrs on the undercard of Artur Beterbiev vs. Joe Smith Jr. on June 18, 2022. However, the fight was cancelled at the last minute due to Burrs testing positive for COVID-19. His next fight was scheduled for August 6, 2022, against a journeyman, Evgenii Vazem, whom he defeated in the second round by a body shot. Welterweight is a weight class in combat sports. Originally the term "welterweight" was used only in boxing, but other combat sports like Muay Thai, taekwondo, and mixed martial arts also use it for their own weight division system to classify the opponents. Rotherham () is a large minster and market town in South Yorkshire, England. The town takes its name from the River Rother which then merges with the River Don. The River Don then flows through the town centre. It is the main settlement of the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham. Magna Science Adventure Centre is an educational visitor attraction, appealing primarily to children, located in Rotherham's former Templeborough#Templeborough steelworks, Templeborough steelworks. Light welterweight, also known as junior welterweight or super lightweight, is a weight class in combat sports. Points Decision
A points decision is a winning criterion in several full-contact combat sports, such as boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, mixed martial arts and others sports involving striking. Unlike normal decisions where there are three judges that agree on which fighter won the match, the fight is scored by the referee, who determines who wins the bout. In some boxing matches, particularly when sanctioned by the British Boxing Board of Control in the United Kingdom, the referee is responsible for scoring (round by round) which fighter they feel is winning (and losing). Unanimous Decision
A unanimous decision (UD) is a winning criterion in several full-contact combat sports, such as boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, mixed martial arts and other sports involving striking and submission in which all three judges agree on which fighter won the match. In boxing, each of the three judges keep score (round by round) of which fighter they feel is winning (and losing). This only includes landed blows to the head or the body. In MMA, judges look for different criteria such as kicks, take downs, punches, knees, elbows, cage control, submission attempts and aggression. A decision is not required to be unanimous for a boxer or mixed martial artist to be given a victory.
