Kieran McGuinness
Kieran McGuinness (born 8 July 1983) is an Australian rules footballer who formerly played with the Western Bulldogs in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was picked in the 2001 AFL Draft at pick 42. He made a sensational debut in his first year, kicking four goals against Essendon, but had limited opportunities from then on, playing 23 senior games to the end of the 2005 season. He played in the Victorian Football League (VFL) grand final in 2005 for the Bulldogs Werribee. He was delisted at the end of 2006. McGuinness then moved to Adelaide and played for Norwood in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL), where he wore number 13. In 2011 he won Norwood's Club Champion award with 69 votes. He was appointed captain in 2012 and missed the 2012 Grand Final due to a knee reconstruction sustained early in the season. Wantirna South Football Club
Wantirna South Football Club nicknamed the Devils, is an Australian rules football club located 26 km south east of Melbourne in the suburb of Wantirna. The teams wears a bottle-green playing jumper with two white stripes. Established in 1952 and situated at Walker Reserve Tyner Road in Wantirna South. Previously known as South Wantirna Football Club until 1997 when club merged with the Wantirna Junior Football Club. Northern Blues
The Preston Football Club, which trades and plays as the Northern Bullants, is a long-established Australian rules football club based in Preston that plays in the Victorian Football League (VFL). It plays its home games at the Preston City Oval. The club was established in 1882 as the Preston Football Club. The club participated in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) between 1903 and 1911, and then since 1926. After World War II, the club was known as the Bullants, and wore a plain red guernsey with a white monogram. The club later became the Northern Bullants. It was affiliated with the Carlton Blues in the Australian Football League (AFL) from 2003 to 2020; and, from 2012 until 2020, the club adopted the colours and nickname of its AFL affiliate to become the Northern Blues. 2014 SANFL Season
The 2014 South Australian National Football League season (officially the SANFL IGA League) was the 135th season of the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) Australian rules football competition. 2014 introduced a number of changes to the league. The size of the league increased from 9 clubs to 10 clubs, after the South Australian Football Commission granted the Australian Football League's Adelaide Football Club a licence to field a reserves team in the competition. Adelaide Oval replaced Football Park as headquarters of the SANFL, resulting in the renovated venue hosting one SANFL minor round match (Anzac Day) and all six SANFL finals matches. The season was shortened to finish a week before the AFL Grand Final, instead of a week after, as had been the case for most years since 1980.
