Kian Scales
Kian Scales (born 9 November 2001) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Scunthorpe United. Scales began his career with Bradford City, and spent time on loan at Bradford (Park Avenue) and Farsley Celtic, before signing for Scunthorpe United. Career Scales began his career playing for the Bradford City youth team, joining at the age of 12 or 13. In March 2020 he moved on loan to Bradford (Park Avenue). He turned professional in July 2020, signing a one-year contract. He made his senior debut for Bradford City on 8 September 2020, in the EFL Trophy. In early December 2020 he spoke about his recent run of first-team action, and the trust placed in City's young players by manager Stuart McCall. After impressing new managers Mark Trueman and Connor Sellars, on 23 March 2021 Scales made his second league start for the club. He scored his first senior goal on 27 March 2021. Midfielder
A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. As central midfielders often go across boundaries, with mobility and passing ability, they are often referred to as deep-lying midfielders, play-makers, box-to-box midfielders, or holding midfielders. The 2022–23 National League season, known as the Vanarama National League for sponsorship reasons, will be the eighth season under English football's new title of the National League, the twentieth season consisting of three divisions, and the forty-fourth season overall. FA Trophy
The Football Association Challenge Trophy, commonly known as the FA Trophy, is a men's football knockout cup competition run by and named after the English Football Association and competed for primarily by semi-professional teams. The competition was instigated in 1969 to cater to those non-league clubs that paid their players and were therefore not eligible to enter the FA Amateur Cup. Eligibility rules have changed over time, but from 2008 onwards the competition has been open to clubs playing in Steps 1–4 of the National League System, equivalent to tiers 5–8 of the overall English football league system. The 2021–22 National League season, known as the Vanarama National League for sponsorship reasons, was the seventh season as English football's National League, the nineteenth season consisting of three divisions, and the forty-third season overall. The National League North, formerly Conference North, is a division of the National League in England, immediately below the National League division. Along with the National League South, it is at the second level of the National League System, and at the sixth tier overall of the English football league system.
