Khusniddin Norbekov
Khusniddin Norbekov (born 23 May 1987) is a Uzbekistani Paralympic athlete with cerebral palsy. He is a Paralympic champion in both the 2016 and 2020 Summer Paralympics, 2020 Summer Paralympic Games. He holds three world championships titles in para-athletics and is a two-time champion of the recent Paralympic Games. Career In 2008 he began to engage in professional sports in his hometown of Navoiy. Starting from 2009, he started to participate in international competitions as a member of the Uzbekistan national team. In 2012 Summer Paralympics, 2014, at the Summer Paralympic Games in Incheon, South Korea, he won a gold medal. In 2015, at the World Para Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar, he won a gold medal in discus throwing in the F37 category and was awarded a bronze medal in shot put. Navoiy
Navoiy (), also spelled Navoi, is a city and the capital of Navoiy Region in the southwestern part of Uzbekistan. Administratively, it is a district-level city, that includes the urban-type settlement Tinchlik. It is located at latitude 40° 5' 4N; longitude 65° 22' 45E, at an altitude of 382 meters. The city is named after Ali-Shir Nava'i. As of 2020, its population was 144,158 inhabitants. Cerebral palsy (CP) is a group of movement disorders that appear in early childhood. Signs and symptoms vary among people and over time, but include poor coordination, stiff muscles, weak muscles, and tremors. There may be problems with sensation, vision, hearing, and speaking. Often, babies with cerebral palsy do not roll over, sit, crawl or walk as early as other children of their age. Other symptoms include seizures and problems with thinking or reasoning, which each occur in about one-third of people with CP. The 2010 Asian Para Games (), also known as the First Asian Para Games, was a parallel sport event for Asian athletes with a disability held in Guangzhou, People's Republic of China, China.
