Khlong Toei MRT Station
Khlong Toei MRT station (, ; code BL24) is a Bangkok MRT station on the Blue Line. Located under Rama IV Road, near Metropolitan Electricity Authority Headquarters and Chaloem Maha Nakhon Expressway in Khlong Toei District, Bangkok. Construction of the MRT began at this station nine months after the foundation stone was laid by King Maha Vajiralongkorn (while he was the crown prince) on November 19, 1996 at Hua Lamphong station. Before opened, station is named ''Bon Kai'' () due to it located near Bon Kai neighborhood, but changed name to ''Khlong Toei'' on October 9, 2002. Although its name is ''Khlong Toei'', Khlong Toei Market is nearer to Queen Sirikit National Convention Center station. Khlong Toei District
Khlong Toei (also Klong Toey, th, คลองเตย, ) is a district in central Bangkok, long known for its slum. It is bordered by the Chao Phraya River and contains major port facilities. It is also the site of a major market, the Khlong Toei Market. Neighboring districts are (clockwise from the north): Watthana, Phra Khanong, Phra Pradaeng district of Samut Prakan province (across the Chao Phraya), Yan Nawa, Sathon, and Pathum Wan. Vajiralongkorn ( th, วชิราลงกรณ; , ; born 28 July 1952) is the King of Thailand. He is the only son of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit. In 1972, at the age of 20, he was made crown prince by his father. After his father's death on 13 October 2016, he was expected to ascend to the throne of Thailand but asked for time to mourn before taking the throne. Plai Nern Palace ( th, ตำหนักปลายเนิน, ) or Klong Toei Palace ( th, วังคลองเตย, ) is a former residence of Prince Narisara Nuwattiwong, who was the son of King Mongkut in Khlong Toei District, Bangkok. The palace was built in 1914. The palace allows outsiders to visit as a museum on 29 April every year due to special occasion, Prince Narisara Nuwattiwong birthday. Hua Lamphong station ( th, สถานีหัวลำโพง, , ) is a rapid transit station on the Blue Line of the Bangkok MRT. The Crown Prince of Thailand (or Siam; th, สยามมกุฎราชกุมาร; ; lit. the royal son of Siam) is a title held by the heir apparent to the Thai throne. First created by King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) in 1886, for his son Prince Maha Vajirunhis, the king's eldest son by a royal wife Queen Savang Vadhana.
