Khansar (city)
Khansar ( fa, خوانسار, Khwānsār, also Romanized as Xānsār) is a city in Isfahan province of Iran and the center of Khansar county. The history of Khansar dates back to pre-Islamic times. "Khan" meaning spring and "Sar" suffix indicate plurality. In the past, this name was given due to the abundance of springs in this region. Khansar people have an independent Khansari dialect that has its roots in the ancient Persian language and has been common in this region before Islam. According to the official census of 2016, the population of Khansar city was 21,883. History There are documents about the migration of a group of Jews from the time of Cyrus the Great to Khansar and their history, which are currently kept in the city of Hamadan. Adib Khansari (born Esmaeil Khansari; 1901 – January 25, 1982) was an Iranian musician. He started music from childhood when his first music teacher was Andalib Golpaygani in Khansar. ''Sayyid'' (, ; ar, سيد ; ; meaning 'sir', 'Lord', 'Master'; Arabic plural: ; feminine: ; ) is a surname of people descending from the Islamic prophet Muhammad through his grandsons, Hasan ibn Ali and Husayn ibn Ali, sons of Muhammad's daughter Fatima and his cousin and son-in-law Ali (Ali ibn Abi Talib). Seyyed Ahmad Khansari
Haj Seyyed Ahmad Khansari (1891–1950/51), son of Seyyed Yusef Khansari, was one of the conspicuous jurisprudents. He was born in a religious family in Khansar City on August 24, 1891 (18th Moharam 1309 AH). He studied Mathematics, Primary Sciences and Seminary lectures in Khansar. To continue his studies he went to Isfahan. His teachers were his great brother "Ayatollah Seyyed Hasan Khansari", Seyyed Mohammad Sadiq Isfahani, Mullah Abdul Karim Gazi, and Mirza Mohammad Ali Toyserkani. Hakham Uriel Davidi Khansari ( he, אוריאל דוידי lived 1922 - December 24, 2006) was a famous Jewish (Judæo-Khunsari) religious leader and theologian, who was born in Khansar (city), Khansar (Iran) and died in the Neve Yaakov section of Jerusalem, Israel, where he spent the last 12 years of his life.
