Khandaker Asaduzzaman
Khandaker Asaduzzaman (22 October 1935 – 25 April 2020) ( bn, খন্দকার আসাদুজ্জামান) was a Bangladeshi Civil Servant and is known as the First Finance Secretary of Independent Bangladesh in the Mujibnagar Government. Early life Asaduzzaman was born on 22 October 1935. He had a B.A. Honors and a M.A. degree. Career Asaduzzaman was a veteran of Bangladesh Liberation War. Khandaker Asaduzzaman was the first Finance Secretary of the Mujibnagar Government (Independent Bangladesh). He was elected Member of Parliament from Tangail-2 as an Awami League candidate. Abdus Salam Pintu is a Bangladeshi politician. He is a Bangladesh Nationalist Party member and a former deputy Minister for Education. In 2018, he was sentenced to death for involvement in the 2004 Dhaka grenade attack. Career Pintu served as deputy minister for education from 2001 to 2003. Soto Monir
Soto Monir ( bn, ছোট মনির) is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and the incumbent Member of Parliament of Tangail-2. He was the joint secretary of Awami League's branch in Germany. Career Monir, aka Tanvir Hasan, entered student politics as a member of Chhatra League in the early 1990s. However, he left Bangladesh at 1996 for higher studies at Moscow University in Russia. He then moved to Germany, and served as the joint-secretary of Awami League’s branch of the central European country. He came back to Bangladesh during 2006-08 Bangladeshi political unrest. 2018 Bangladeshi General Election
General elections were held in Bangladesh on 30 December 2018 to elect 300 directly-elected members of the Jatiya Sangsad. The result was a landslide victory for the Awami League led by Sheikh Hasina. According to political scientist Ali Riaz, the elections were not free and fair. The BBC News reported that they were marred by violence and allegations of vote rigging. Opposition leader Kamal Hossain rejected the results, calling it "farcical" and demanding fresh elections to be held under a neutral government.
