Khamsai Souphanouvong
Khamsay Souphanouvong is a Laotian politician, refugee, and a former leading member of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP). He was born in 1943 and is the son of Souphanouvong, the former head of state. He served as Minister of Finance from 1991 until 1995. The right of asylum (sometimes called right of political asylum; ) is an ancient juridical concept, under which people persecuted by their own rulers might be protected by another sovereign authority, like a second country or another entity which in medieval times could offer sanctuary. Helen Elizabeth Clark (born 26 February 1950) is a New Zealand politician who served as the 37th prime minister of New Zealand from 1999 to 2008, and was the administrator of the United Nations Development Programme from 2009 to 2017. She was New Zealand's fifth-longest-serving prime minister, and the second woman to hold that office. Clark was brought up on a farm outside Hamilton.
