Abdurahim Hamidov (1952, Tashkent, Uzbekistan – 2013, United States) was an Uzbekistani lutenist. He was a master musician of the long-necked lutes tanbur, qashqari rubab and dutar. Isgandar Hamidov
Isgandar Majid oglu Hamidov ( az, İsgəndər Məcid oğlu Həmidov) (also transliterated as ''Iskender Majid oglu Hamidov'' or ''Iskander Medjid oglu Hamidov''; April 10, 1948 in Bağlıpəyə village, Kalbajar rayon – February 26, 2020 in Baku) was an Azerbaijani politician, Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan who served in the Popular Front government of 1992–1993. As a chairman of Azerbaijan National Democrat Party, informally known as the Grey Wolves, Hamidov pleaded for the creation of a unified Turkic country which would include northern Iran and extend itself to Siberia, India and China. He was known to have threatened Armenia with a nuclear strike. Isgandar Hamidov resigned in April 1993. In 1995, he was arrested and sentenced to 14 years in prison for embezzlement of state funds but was essentially treated as a political prisoner by the Amnesty International and the Council of Europe.

Shukur Nariman oğlu Hamidov ( az, Şükür Həmidov) (1 April 1975 – 22 October 2020) was an Azerbaijani officer, national hero and colonel of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan. He was son to Nariman and Shargiya Hamidov. He was an enlisted member of the army since a young age and had experienced multiple wars. His family were refugees from Armenia that later migrated to Azerbaijan. Sitora Hamidova (born 12 May 1989) is an Uzbekistani long-distance runner. She competed in the marathon at the 2015 World Championships and 2016 Olympics. Biography Sitora Hamidova was born on May 12, 1989 in the city of Termez, Surkhandarya region. Sje graduated from Termez State University. In 2015, Sitora became the winner of the Uzbekistan Championship in 10,000 meters, and in 2016, the Uzbekistan Championship in cross. She became part of the Uzbekistan national team at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. In the 10,000-meter run, she was 2 minutes 40.32 seconds slower than Ethiopian Almaz Ayana, who won the gold medal, and took 24th place with Uzbekistan's record - 31 minutes 57.77 seconds.
