Khalid Rehmat
Father Khalid Rehmat OFMCap (born 5 August 1968) in Mianwali in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Islamabad-Rawalpindi, is the Apostolic Vicar of the Apostolic Vicariate of Quetta in Pakistan. Rehmat worked as a primary school teacher before joining the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin. From 2008 to 2014 he taught at St. Mary's Minor Seminary, Lahore. He made his solemn vows in 2007. On 16 August 2008, he was ordained priest in the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Lahore. From 2014, Rehmat served as parish priest in Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish in Sialkot, in the Archdiocese of Lahore. Since 2013, he has been editor of the bimonthly magazine Catholic Naqeeb. In November 2020, he was elected custos of the Mariam Siddeeqa Capuchin Custody in Pakistan. On January 1, 2021, Pope Francis named Father Khalid Rehmat as the new vicar apostolic of Quetta. Apostolic Vicariate Of Quetta
The Apostolic Vicariate of Quetta ( la, Vicariatus Apostolicus Quettensis), originally the Apostolic Prefecture of Quetta, is a Latin Church missionary territory or apostolic vicariate of the Catholic Church in Pakistan. It comprises the civil province of Balochistan and the Kachhi region of Punjab, Pakistan. History The areas were originally under the jurisdiction of the “ Vicariate of the Great Mogul” which was established in 1697. In 1832, the Vicariate formed a part of the Archdiocese of Bombay and in 1878 it passed to the mission of Afghanistan, which had been entrusted to the Mill Hill missionaries. Quetta, in the years to follow would be visited by Jesuits (who left in 1935) and then Franciscans (until 1982). The ''Catholic Naqib'' () is the oldest Urdu-language Catholic magazine, founded in Lahore, Pakistan in 1929 by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lahore. It was originally published by Lahore Press and, since 1997, by Naqib Printing Press. Naqib is an Arabic name that means "herald" or "Proclaimer". Joseph Arshad (born August 25, 1964) is the Roman Catholic Bishop of Islamabad-Rawalpindi in Pakistan. Biography Arshad was born on August 25, 1964, in Lahore. After completing school, he began his priestly education at St. Mary's Minor Seminary, Lahore. He continued his studies at Christ the King Seminary in Karachi. After his ordination on November 1, 1991, he was appointed Parochial Vicar of St. Joseph's Church and also given charge of St. Peter's School in Gujranwala. For a while he also studied journalism. In 1995, he went to Rome for Canon Law studies at the Pontifical Urban University and then underwent training as a Vatican diplomat at the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy. Joseph Coutts (born 21 July 1945) is a Pakistani prelate of the Catholic Church, who served as Archbishop of Karachi from 2012 to 2021. He served as Bishop of Faisalabad from 1998 to 2012. The Roman Catholic Metropolitan Archdiocese of Lahore is a Latin Metropolitan Archdiocese in Punjab province, Pakistan. Its episcopal seat is the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Lahore.
