Khalid Mohamed is an Indian journalist, editing, editor, Film criticism, film critic, screenwriter and film director. He worked for The Times of India for 27 years and then Daily News and Analysis, DNA followed by Hindustan Times and was the lead editor for Filmfare magazine. He is the son of Zubeida Begum, on whose life he wrote the screenplay of Shyam Benegal's 2001 film, Zubeidaa. An alumnus of Cathedral and John Connon School from Fort (Mumbai precinct), Fort, Mumbai and St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, St Xavier's College, he post-graduated in Political science, Political Science. ''Tehzeeb'' () is a 2003 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Khalid Mohammed. It premiered on 21 November 2003. The film stars Shabana Azmi, Urmila Matondkar, Diya Mirza, Arjun Rampal and Rishi Kapoor in a special appearance. Urmila and Shabana were praised for their roles.
