Khalid Deeb
Khalid Deeb (born 7 April 1982) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who last played for the Cabramatta Two Blues in the Ron Massey Cup competition. He also played for Newtown in the NSW Cup competition and Sydney Roosters in the NRL competition. He played internationally for Lebanon. His position of choice was at but could also play at . Playing career Deeb played with the Auburn Warriors as a junior. Deeb made his only first-grade appearance for the Sydney Roosters in the 2009 NRL season in a round 25 38–4 loss away to Melbourne Storm, where he came off the bench. In this same season, he won the Best and Fairest award along with Best Forward awards for Newtown. He played in the Jim Beam Cup finals with Newtown in 2006 and with the Sydney Bulls in 2007. Newtown Jets
The Newtown Jets are an Australian rugby league football club based in Newtown, a suburb of Sydney's inner west. They currently compete in the NSW Cup competition, having left the top grade after the 1983 NSWRFL season. The Jets' home ground is Henson Park, and their team colours are blue (traditionally royal blue) and white. Established in 1908, Newtown were one of the founding members of the New South Wales Rugby Football League. They competed continuously in the NSWRFL premiership until their departure in 1983, the first reduction in the League since 1937. Over this period they won the competition three times. Cabramatta ('Cabra') is a suburb in south-western Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Cabramatta is located south-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Fairfield.
