The Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha or the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly is the unicameral state legislature of Chhattisgarh state in India. The seat of the Vidhan Sabha is at Raipur, the capital of the state. 2018 Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Election
The 2018 Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly election was held to elect members to the Legislative Assembly of the Indian State of Chhattisgarh. The election was held in two phases for a total of 90 seats; the first for 18 seats in South Chhattisgarh was held on 12 November 2018, and the second for the remaining 72 were held on 20 November. The INC got a landslide victory winning 68 seats against the ruling BJP's 15 seats, and consequently formed the government after 15 years as opposition party. Incumbent Chief Minister Raman Singh resigned on 11 December, the day of counting and declaration of result, taking the responsibility for the defeat. Devwrat Singh (3 June 1969 – 4 November 2021) was an Indian politician and a member of the Janta Congress Chhattisgarh political party. He was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India, representing the Rajnandgaon constituency of Chhattisgarh. From 1995 to 1998 he was member of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. From 1998 to 2003 he was again elected to MP legislative Assembly later Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. He was elected to it again in 2003.
