Khadija Jlassi
Khadija Jlassi (born 3 January 2003) is a Tunisian freestyle wrestler. She is a two-time medalist, including gold, in the women's 65kg event at the African Wrestling Championships. Career Jlassi competed in the girls' freestyle 73kg event at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She finished in 7th place. In 2021, Jlassi competed at the African & Oceania Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament hoping to qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. In that same year, she competed in the women's 65kg event at the 2021 U23 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia where she was eliminated in her second match. Jlassi won one of the bronze medals in the women's 65kg event at the 2022 Yasar Dogu Tournament held in Istanbul, Turkey. Amateur wrestling is a variant of wrestling practiced in collegiate, school, or other amateur level competitions. There are two international wrestling styles performed in the Olympic Games: freestyle and Greco-Roman. Both styles are under the supervision of the United World Wrestling (UWW; formerly known as FILA, from the French acronym for International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles). 2023 World Wrestling Championships
The 2023 World Wrestling Championships was held from 16 to 24 September 2023 in Belgrade, Serbia. The 2023 Ibrahim Moustafa Tournament, was a wrestling event held in Alexandria, Egypt between 23 and 26 February 2023. It was held as the second of the ranking series of United World Wrestling in 2023. With an aim to reward wrestlers participating in Ranking Series tournaments, the United World Wrestling will award prize money to the medal winners in all weight classes with a total prize money of 390,000 Swiss Francs. The gold medal winners at the four Ranking Series tournaments in 2023 will receive 1500 Swiss Francs with the silver medallists getting 750 Swiss Francs.
