Alicia Augello Cook (born January 25, 1981), known professionally as Alicia Keys, is an American singer, songwriter, and pianist. A classically trained pianist, Keys started composing songs when she was 12 and was signed at 15 years old by Columbia Records. After disputes with the label, she signed with Arista Records and later released her debut album, ''Songs in A Minor'', with J Records in 2001. The album was critically and commercially successful, selling over 12 million copies worldwide. It spawned the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 number-one single " Fallin'", and earned Keys five Grammy Awards in 2002. John Keys (organist)
John Keys MA (Oxon), LRAM, ARCM, Hon FGCM (born 3 December 1956) is a British and international organist. Career Born in Chester, John Keys was a pupil of Malcolm Boyle and later assistant organist at Chester Cathedral. Afterwards he was organ scholar to Edward Higginbottom at New College, Oxford and then studied in Geneva with Lionel Rogg where he won the ''1re Prix de Virtuosité'' from the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève. On his return from Geneva he was appointed Director of Music at St. Mary's Church, Nottingham, in 1984. That year, he won First Prize at the 4th Manchester International Organ Competition. He is also the University of Nottingham's organist and keyboard tutor. Shortly after his appointment in Nottingham, St Mary's Church underwent a substantial programme of restoration. Samuel Keys
Samuel Keys (1771 – 1850) was an English china painter. Life His family background is not known. Keys was one of the principal gilders and china-painters in the Derby china factory under William Duesbury the elder, to whom Keys was articled. He was highly regarded, and much of the success of the china, especially the figures in the Dresden style, was owing to his skill in decoration. On 3 August 1795, in Dronfield, Derbyshire, he married Hannah Grattan. Keys left Derby some years before the close of the factory, and worked under Minton in the Staffordshire Potteries district. He returned later to Derby, where he died in 1850, in his eightieth year. Keys preserved his delicacy of execution to the last. He collected materials for the history of the Derby china factory, which form the foundation of subsequent accounts. His sons Keys left three sons, all apprenticed at the Derby factory. Richard Keys (born 23 April 1957) is an English sports presenter who has worked for BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky, Talksport, Al Jazeera, Fox Sports, ESPN Star Sports , BeIN Sports; and has presented many top-level football matches. Career His career started in London in 1976 when he began working for the Fleet Street Sports Agency Hayter's until 1978, when he moved to Liverpool and worked at Radio City as a football commentator. Howard Newton "Sonny" Keys was an American football offensive lineman in the National Football League from 1960 to 1965 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He was born in Orlando, Oklahoma, on January 24, 1935. Sonny was a star athlete for the Pioneers at Stillwater High School in Stillwater, Oklahoma where he played football, basketball, baseball and track. He was named to the Oklahoma All-State football team and played in the All Stars game and the Oil Bowl. His high school named Sonny "Mr. Pioneer." He played all positions on the line, including center. He went to college at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. John Keys (1865—1890), was an English footballer who played in The Football League for Everton. NOTE: Sources disagree as whether Jack Keys was born in 1865 or 1866. Also only ENFA states he died in 1890. I have used the ENFA dates for his birth but the date maybe wrong. FreeBMD confirms a John Keys died in Liverpool in Quarter 1 of 1890. Jack Keys was injured while playing for Everton Athletic against Wigan Central. He was taken to his mother's home on Vauxhall Road, Liverpool, where he died just a few days later on 5 March 1890. His mother reported that he had been unwell for sometime before the game. He was buried on 9 March in Anfield Cemetery, Liverpool. Ancel Benjamin Keys (January 26, 1904 – November 20, 2004) was an American physiologist who studied the influence of diet on health. In particular, he hypothesized that replacing dietary saturated fat with polyunsaturated fat reduces cardiovascular heart disease. Modern dietary recommendations by health organizations, systematic reviews, and national health agencies corroborate this. Keys studied starvation in men and published ''The Biology of Human Starvation'' (1950), which remains the only source of its kind. He examined the epidemiology of cardiovascular disease and was responsible for two famous diets: K-rations, formulated as balanced meals for combat soldiers in World War II, and the Mediterranean diet, which he popularized with his wife Margaret.
