Kevon Edmonds
Kevon Edmonds (born February 25, 1958) is an American singer and actor. He is member of the R&B group After 7 and the older brother of singer, songwriter, and record producer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. After 7 scored three platinum- or gold-selling albums, several R&B hits and multiple Billboard Hot 100 hits. Kevon Edmonds released the solo album 24/7 in 1999. The album's title track was certified gold and was a No. 2 R&B hit and reached No. 10 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. The second single, " No Love (I'm Not Used to)" was a moderate R&B hit. Edmonds was also a member of the quintet Milestone along with his brothers Babyface and Melvin Edmonds and K-Ci & JoJo. North Central High School is a public high school in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. It is part of the Metropolitan School District of Washington Township. North Central is an International Baccalaureate (IB) school. History North Central was established in 1956 in response to Washington Township's rapidly growing population and the desire of residents to have a local high school. Prior to this, students from the township attended Broad Ripple High School and Shortridge High School in Indianapolis. (At this time, most of the township was outside the city limits.) ''Soul Food'' is a 1997 American comedy-drama film produced by Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Tracey Edmonds and Robert Teitel and released by Fox 2000 Pictures. Featuring an ensemble cast, the film stars Vanessa Williams, Vivica A. Fox, Nia Long, Michael Beach, Mekhi Phifer, Jeffrey D. Sams, Irma P. Hall, Gina Ravera and Brandon Hammond. Written and directed by George Tillman Jr. in his major studio debut, the film centers on the trials of an extended African-American family, held together by longstanding family traditions which begin to fade as serious problems take center stage. Tillman based the family in the film on his own and ''Soul Food'' was widely acclaimed for presenting a more positive image of African-Americans than is typically seen in Hollywood films. In 2000, Showtime premiered a one-hour television series based upon the film. ''Reflections'' is the third and last studio album by After 7 before the group split in 1997. The album reunites them with producer Babyface, who along with his then partner L.A. Reid, wrote and produced the majority of their self-titled debut. They also enlist the production talents of Babyface proteges Jon B and Keith Andes as well as newcomers The Boom Brothers. ''Reflections'' is the first album where the members of the group have credits as songwriters as well as executive producers.
