Kevin Phillips is an American film actor, best known for his leading role in Suna Gonera’s ''Pride'' (2007), as well as his role in 2009's '' Notorious''. Kevin starred in the George Lucas-produced 2012 film ''Red Tails'', which chronicles the story of the Tuskegee Airmen. Early life Kevin split his adolescence between Moncks Corner, South Carolina and Brooklyn. In 2000, he decided to leave his basketball scholarship at SUNY-Cobleskill to pursue an acting career. Phillips got his start in an off-Broadway play “A Little Piece of Life” directed by William Hicks. Career Kevin's first film credit was a supporting role in Queen Latifah’s '' The Cookout'' (2004) opposite Tim Meadows. He has also had roles in 2005's '' American Gun'' with Forest Whitaker and Donald Sutherland as well as ''Rock The Paint'' which premiered at the 2005 Tribeca Film Festival. Kevin Mark Phillips (born 25 July 1973) is an English former professional Association football, footballer who was most recently the manager of National League (division), National League club Hartlepool United F.C., Hartlepool United. A Forward (association football)#Striker, striker, Phillips started his career with Southampton F.C., Southampton but failed to make the first team and was released. He then signed for non-League side Baldock Town F.C., Baldock Town where he impressed, earning a move to Watford F.C., Watford in 1994. In 1997, Phillips signed for Football League First Division, First Division club Sunderland A.F.C., Sunderland. In his first season he scored 35 goals in all competitions, the most goals in a season for a Sunderland player since the Second World War as well as being the league's top goalscorer. Kevin Price Phillips (born November 30, 1940) is an American writer and commentator on politics, economics, and history. Formerly a Republican Party strategist before becoming an independent, Phillips became disaffected with the party from the 1990s, and became a critic. He is a regular contributor to the ''Los Angeles Times'', ''Harper's Magazine'', and National Public Radio, and was a political analyst on PBS' '' NOW with Bill Moyers''. Phillips was a strategist on voting patterns for Richard Nixon's 1968 campaign, which was the basis for a book, ''The Emerging Republican Majority'', which predicted a conservative political realignment in national politics, and is widely regarded as one of the most influential recent works in political science. His predictions regarding shifting voting patterns in presidential elections proved accurate, though they did not extend "down ballot" to Congress until the Republican revolution of 1994.
