Kevin Owen
Kevin Owen (born 1966) is a British television and radio news anchor, reporter and presenter who was born in Plymouth, UK. He has worked in UK regional and network broadcasting for more than three decades. From 2006 to 2022, he worked at the Russian state-controlled television network RT (TV network), RT (formerly Russia Today) as the English network's senior news anchor. Following a post-graduate diploma in broadcast journalism from Cardiff University, early in his career, Owen presented the BBC Wales news programme ''Wales Today'' in the 1980s. He then moved to the commercial station ITV Cymru Wales, HTV Wales to be one of the main anchors for the station's daily news programme ''Wales Tonight'' in the mid-1990s, before moving to sister channel ITV Wales & West, HTV West in Bristol, in 1996. Plymouth
Plymouth () is a port city and unitary authority in South West England. It is located on the south coast of Devon, approximately south-west of Exeter and south-west of London. Heart Somerset (formerly Somerset's Orchard FM) was an Independent Local Radio station serving Somerset, England. Originally owned by (and officially remains licensed to) Orchard Media Ltd, the company was purchased by GWR Group in 1999, and subsequently became owned by GCap Media in 2005. ITV Wales and West, previously known as Harlech Television (HTV), was an ITV franchise area in the United Kingdom until 31 December 2013, licensed to a broadcaster by the regulator Ofcom. There is no channel, past or present, named "ITV Wales and West".
