Kevin McKinlay
Kevin Donald McKinlay (born 28 February 1986, in Stirling) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a left wingback. Career McKinlay signed for Scottish club Ross County after being released by Chelsea, where he was a product of the club's youth system. After a few seasons at the Staggies, McKinlay moved to Glasgow side Partick Thistle in August 2007. Upon the ending of his time at Thistle, he went across the Irish Sea to sign for Dundalk in July 2009. At the end of the Irish season, he returned home to Scotland to sign for Scottish Football League First Division team Greenock Morton during the January transfer window of 2010. He was released in May 2011. After his release from Morton, McKinlay dropped a division to sign for Second division side Stenhousemuir. In May 2012, McKinlay signed on for a further season at Stenhousemuir. In June 2014, McKinlay announced on his Twitter that he would be joining Ayr United, following his release from Stenhousemuir. ... Stirling
Stirling (; sco, Stirlin; gd, Sruighlea ) is a city in central Scotland, northeast of Glasgow and north-west of Edinburgh. The market town, surrounded by rich farmland, grew up connecting the royal citadel, the medieval old town with its merchants and tradesmen, the Old Bridge and the port. Located on the River Forth, Stirling is the administrative centre for the Stirling council area, and is traditionally the county town of Stirlingshire. Scottish Football League First Division
The Scottish Football League First Division was the second tier in the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013. History The First Division was introduced in 1975–76 to replace the old Scottish Football League Division Two, as the top flight of the Scottish Football League was renamed from Division One to Premier Division. In 1998, the Premier Division clubs broke away from the Scottish Football League to form the Scottish Premier League. The First Division remained the second tier of the Scottish league system, but was now the top tier of the Scottish Football League. In July 2013, the Scottish Football League and Scottish Premier League merged to form the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL). Scottish League Cup
The Scottish League Cup (also known as the Viaplay Cup for sponsorship reasons) is a football competition open to all Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) clubs. First held in 1946–47, it is the oldest national League Cup in existence. The competition had a straight knockout format but became a group and knockout competition from 2016–17. Rangers are the record holders of the cup, winning 27 times. Celtic are the holders, winning their 20th title after beating Hibernian 2–1 at Hampden Park on 19 December 2021. The domestic television rights are held by Viaplay, whose predecessor company Premier Sports replaced BT Sport from the 2019–20 season. Jordyn Sheerin
Jordyn Sheerin (born 18 August 1989) is a Scottish professional footballer and current assistant manager of Lowland League team Gala Fairydean Rovers. Career East Fife and loans Sheerin started his career with East Fife, where he stayed until 2010. Unable to fully break into the first team, he was loaned out to Arniston Rangers and Camelon Juniors where he went on to win the East of Scotland Cup. After leaving East Fife, Sheerin signed for Arbroath on a free transfer. Arbroath, East Stirlingshire and Junior Sheerin moved to Arbroath looking to score his first goal for a Scottish professional team. He stayed at Arbroath for one season and was part of the side which won the Scottish Third Division. He subsequently moved to Third Division club East Stirlingshire, where he scored his first professional goal, which would be his only goal for the Shire.
