Kevin Mahoney
Kevin J. Mahoney (September 6, 1965 – October 14, 2011) was an American singer. He is best remembered as the vocalist of Siege, a pioneering Massachusetts-based hardcore punk band whose speed and discord influenced the formation of the grindcore and powerviolence subgenres of punk rock and heavy metal. Agoraphobic Nosebleed (abbreviated as ANb) is an American grindcore band formed in 1994 in Springfield, Massachusetts, United States. Its line-up has changed often over the years, with guitarist and drum programmer Scott Hull being the only continuous member. The current line-up includes vocalist Jay Randall, and Richard Johnson of Enemy Soil and Drugs of Faith, along with John Jarvis of Pig Destroyer and Fulgora on bass guitar. Agoraphobic Nosebleed is one of the most well-known drum-machine grindcore bands, and has influenced many drum-machine grindcore bands. Biography The band is known for the brevity of its songs. Nightstick (band)
Nightstick is an American sludge metal band from Weymouth, Massachusetts. The band was formed by -Siege drummer Rob Williams. Nightstick is well known for their unique stage shows which feature a dancing clown called Padoinka. Padoinka the clown is widely considered to be the fourth member of the band and has featured heavily on the art work of all three full-length albums. Nightstick was given the key to the city of Weymouth by the mayor Sue Kay. ''Drop Dead'' is an album by American hardcore punk band Siege released in 1984. It is the only album the band ever released. The original "album" was a self-released demo cassette with six songs recorded at Radiobeat studios in Boston and produced by Lou Giordano. There were also three songs recorded for Pushead's ''Cleanse the Bacteria'' hardcore compilation. When the album was finally given a proper (i.e., non-bootleg) release on CD by Relapse Records in 1994, the three ''Cleanse the Bacteria'' tracks were added to the original six demo tape songs. Deep Six Records then re-released the album on 12" vinyl in 2004, with the identical track list to the Relapse reissue, being the original six songs with the same three compilation tracks added. Dropdead is an American hardcore punk band based in Providence, Rhode Island. They have been active in the punk scene since 1991, having been formed in January of that year. The band's songs are generally short and very fast-paced, with few lasting longer than two minutes. Other famous crust punk and grindcore bands like Nasum have covered some of their songs. The band has a strong do-it-yourself ethic. History Meeting in Providence in 1989, they started playing as Hellocaust. Carcass are an English extreme metal band from Liverpool, formed in 1985. The band have gone through several line-up changes, leaving guitarist Bill Steer and bassist-vocalist Jeff Walker as the only constant members. They broke up in 1996, but reformed in 2007 without one of its original members, drummer Ken Owen, due to health reasons.
