Kevin Kilmore
Kevin Kilmore (born 11 November 1959) is an English former footballer who scored 81 goals from 334 appearances in the Football League playing for Scunthorpe United, Grimsby Town, Rotherham United and Lincoln City. He played as a forward or midfielder. He also played in Belgium for K.F.C. Verbroedering Geel, but never appeared in the league, and non-League football for Gainsborough Trinity. Life and career Kilmore was born in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, where he played for Crosby Colts before joining his local Football League club, Scunthorpe United, as an apprentice. He made his debut for Scunthorpe at the age of 17, in February 1977, and played regularly for the first team thereafter. In the 1977–78 season, he was capped three times for the England youth team and scored once, in a friendly match against Hungary youth. Scunthorpe () is an industrial town and unparished area in the unitary authority of North Lincolnshire in Lincolnshire, England of which it is the main administrative centre. Scunthorpe had an estimated total population of 82,334 in 2016. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. The Belgian Second Division (known as the Proximus League for sponsorship reasons) was the second-highest division in the Belgian football league system, one level below the Belgian Pro League.
