Kevin Forrest
Kevin Forrest (born November 3 in Seattle, Washington) is a retired American soccer player. Career Youth and College Forrest grew up in Edmonds, Washington, and began his career with various youth soccer teams in the Seattle area, including Emerald City FC, and the Crossfire Sounders, where he was coached by former Seattle Sounders coach Alan Hinton. Forrest attended Edmonds-Woodway High School, and played college soccer at the University of Washington, scoring 34 goals and earning All-American and Pac-10 honors including Pac-10 Player of the Year in 2006. He medical redshirted the 2005 season with the onset of plantar fasciitis. His final season, 2007, was cut short despite a promising beginning when he suffered a season ending stress fracture. During his college years Forrest also played for Hibernian & Caledonian in the Pacific Coast Soccer League winning a USASA national championship in 2005. Plantar Fasciitis
Plantar fasciitis or plantar heel pain (PHP) is a disorder of the plantar fascia, which is the connective tissue which supports the arch of the foot. It results in pain in the heel and bottom of the foot that is usually most severe with the first steps of the day or following a period of rest. Pain is also frequently brought on by bending the foot and toes up towards the shin. The pain typically comes on gradually, and it affects both feet in about one-third of cases. The 2009 season is the 23rd season played by the United Soccer Leagues. Season titles will be contested by 20 professional men's clubs in the USL First Division and USL Second Division, as well as 37 professional and amateur women's clubs in the W-League and 68 professional and amateur men's teams in the USL Premier Development League. The First Division season kicked off on April 11 with the US Open Cup finalist Charleston Battery and host defending champions Vancouver Whitecaps FC playing to a scoreless tie, while the Carolina RailHawks defeated the visiting Minnesota Thunder 2–1. USL First Division
The USL First Division (usually referred to as USL-1) was a professional men's soccer league in the United States and Canada from 2005 to 2010. During its existence, it formed the second tier of soccer in the United States soccer league system behind Major League Soccer. It was operated by United Soccer Leagues (USL) and was known as the A-League, from 1997 until 2004.
