Kerstin Tidelius
Kerstin Martha Tidelius (14 October 1934 – 15 February 2023) was a Swedish actress. Born in Stockholm, she worked mainly on stage with a total of about 20 film and TV appearances. Her most notable performances were Ingrid Löfgren in the long running Swedish TV series '' Hem till byn'' and a supporting role as Henrietta Vergérus, the bishop's sister, in ''Fanny and Alexander ''Fanny and Alexander'' ( sv, Fanny och Alexander) is a 1982 period drama film written and directed by Ingmar Bergman. The plot focuses on two siblings and their large family in Uppsala, Sweden during the first decade of the twentieth century. ...'' by Ingmar Bergman. Tidelius was awarded the Svenska Dagbladets Thaliapris (the Thalia Acting Award) in 1966. Tidelius died on 15 February 2023, at the age of 88. ''Hem till byn'' (English: ''Home to the village''), written by Bengt Bratt (born 1937), is Sweden's longest-running TV series and one of its most popular. It is a realistic drama about people in a rural Swedish village and their daily life and romances and fights but also the consequences of agricultural policy and other changes in the society. ''Fanny and Alexander'' ( sv, Fanny och Alexander) is a 1982 period drama film written and directed by Ingmar Bergman. The plot focuses on two siblings and their large family in Uppsala, Sweden during the first decade of the twentieth century. Following the death of the children's father ( Allan Edwall), their mother (Ewa Fröling) remarries a prominent bishop (Jan Malmsjö) who becomes abusive towards Alexander for his vivid imagination. Bergman intended ''Fanny and Alexander'' to be his final picture before retiring, and his script is semi-autobiographical. The characters Alexander, Fanny and stepfather Edvard are based on himself, his sister Margareta and his father Erik Bergman, respectively. Many of the scenes were filmed on location in Uppsala.
