Irvin Kershner
Irvin Kershner (born Isadore Kershner; April 29, 1923November 27, 2010) was an American film director, actor, and producer of film and television. He gained notice early in his career as a filmmaker for directing quirky, independent drama films, while working as an influential lecturer at the University of Southern California. Later in his career, he transitioned to high-budget blockbusters such as ''The Empire Strikes Back'', the James Bond adaptation '' Never Say Never Again'' and ''RoboCop 2''. Through the course of his career, he received numerous accolades, including being nominated for both a Primetime Emmy Award and a Palme d'Or. Bruce Kershner
Bruce S. Kershner (April 17, 1950 – February 16, 2007) was an environmentalist, author, high school biology teacher and forest ecologist. As a child he resided in Staten Island, New York, Staten Island. Bruce Kershner obtained degrees from Binghamton University and the University of Connecticut. He most recently resided in Amherst, New York, Amherst with his wife Helene. He taught high school biology at John F. Kennedy High School (Cheektowaga, New York), John F. Kennedy High School in Cheektowaga (town), New York, Cheektowaga, NY until 2005 where he established the Environmental Club, exposing many of his students to the old grown forests he cared so much about. He was a renowned old growth forest authority, and has rediscovered almost 300 old growth forests in Eastern North America previously assumed lost. Shannon Kershner
Shannon Johnson Kershner is the current pastor of Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago. Succeeding John Buchanan as Fourth's pastor, Kershner was voted to lead the congregation on March 2, 2014. She began serving the community on May 1 of that year, and gave her first sermon to the congregation on May 18. Kershner has previously worked as pastor at Black Mountain Presbyterian Church in Black Mountain, North Carolina and Woodhaven Presbyterian Church in Irving, Texas. She graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree before going on to receive a Master of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary. Isabel Kershner is a British-born Israeli journalist and author, who began reporting from Jerusalem for ''The New York Times'' in 2007. Kershner had previously worked as senior Middle East editor for ''The Jerusalem Report'' magazine. She has also written for ''The New Republic'' and has provided commentary on Middle East affairs on BBC Radio and elsewhere. Career Kershner was born in Manchester, England. Jason Kershner
Jason Ashley Kershner (born December 19, 1976) is a former professional baseball pitcher. He played three seasons at the major league level, playing for the San Diego Padres and the Toronto Blue Jays. Kershner won three games in the major leagues (all in 2003) and picked up his only career save on September 11, 2002. In an extra inning game against the Indians, Kershner pitched the 11th inning, allowing 1 run but nailing down a 6-5 Blue Jays victory. He was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in 12th round of the 1995 Major League Baseball Draft. Kershner played his first professional season with their Rookie league Martinsville Phillies in 1995. He spent the 2007 season playing for the Cincinnati Reds Triple-A club, the Louisville Bats.
