Kenton, Manitoba
Kenton is an unincorporated community recognized as a local urban district in Manitoba, Canada. It is located in the Rural Municipality of Woodworth, about an hour's drive west of Brandon. The first permanent settlement of the area began in 1881, following the westward expansion of the borders of the province of Manitoba. The settlement was named for its first postmaster, A.W. Kent. Kenton became an unincorporated village district in 1947. In 1986, the community had a population of 158. Water supply for the community is from the nearby half-mile long Kenton Reservoir on Bars Creek, a tributary of the Oak River. The Gibson County portion of Kenton is part of the Humboldt, TN Micropolitan Statistical Area, while the Obion County portion is part of the Union City, TN– KY Micropolitan Statistical Area. Kenton was a German brand of cigarettes, manufactured in East Germany. History Kenton was available in the variants ''"Aromatic Blend"'' (Blue), ''"Menthol"'' (Green) and ''"American Blend"'', later renamed in ''"Extra Quality"'' (Red). Kenton Smith
Kenton Smith (born September 10, 1979) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. Playing career Smith began playing at major junior level for the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League (WHL) in 1995–96. He competed for the Hitmen for five seasons, establishing himself as a cornerstone of the team during that time. In 1998–99, he recorded 19 goals to establish a single-season team record by a defenceman (surpassed by Paul Postma's 23 goals in 2008–09), en route to leading his team to a President's Cup as WHL champions in 1999. Smith played 386 games in total for the Hitmen, scoring 226 points and clocking 527 penalty minutes. Smith began his professional career in 2000, splitting the season between the ill-fated Detroit Vipers of the International Hockey League (IHL) and the Johnstown Chiefs of the ECHL. Kenton Terry Richardson (born 26 June 1999) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for National League side Gateshead. Playing career Richardson came through the youth team at Hartlepool United. He made his senior debut for Hartlepool as a substitute for Liam Donnelly in a 4–0 defeat to Mansfield Town on 11 February 2017. Kenton B. Onstad (born July 17, 1953) is the former North Dakota Democratic-NPL Party, Democratic-NPL Minority Leader in the North Dakota House of Representatives and was one of the two members who represents District 4, which is composed of Mountrail County, North Dakota, Mountrail County, the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation, portions of Mercer County, North Dakota, Mercer County and a northern portion of Dunn County, North Dakota, Dunn County. Kenton Wesley Keith (born November 12, 1939) is a former American career diplomat and ambassador to Qatar from 1992 to 1995. Kenton "Factor" Grua (July 25, 1950 – August 25, 2002) was a Grand Canyon river guide. He was the first person in recorded history to hike through the Grand Canyon's entire length. In 1983, he set the speed record for rowing through the canyon in 37 hours. Background Kenton Grua was born and raised in Vernal, Utah. At age 12, Grua was enthralled by a whitewater rafting trip taken with his father on the Green River, a tributary of the Colorado River.
