The county council h ... to young people in school years 7-11 (and 12-13 if a Young Carer or young person in care / care leavers) who live within the Kent County Council local authority area. The pass offers users unlimited bus travel within Kent (excluding Medway) for a cost of £100 per user (reduced to £50 for users who receive free school meals and no charge for Young Carers or those who are in care/care leavers). Kent is a county in South East England and one of the home counties. ITSO Ltd is a non-profit membership organisation assisting standardisation of public transport ticketing in the United Kingdom. Its objectives are to: *maintain and develop the ITSO specification for transport smart cards *operate and manage an interoperable smart media environment *facilitate and support development of smart ticketing schemes that comply with the ITSO specification. ITSO was established as a result of discussions between various UK passenger transport authorities concerning the lack of standards for interoperable smart card ticketing.
