Kent County Cricket Club In 2023
In 2023, Kent County Cricket Club competed in the 2023 County Championship, the 2023 One-Day Cup and the 2023 T20 Blast. The season was the seventh in charge for head coach, and former player, Matthew Walker. Sam Billings retained the club captaincy that he was first awarded in 2018. In June 2023, Billings stepped down as captain in the County Championship for the remainder of the season after a run of poor form in the format, with Jack Leaning taking over the captaincy. Ryan ten Doeschate left his position as batting coach after a single season with Kent, to take up a role with the Kolkata Knight Riders. Former Worcestershire head coach Alex Gidman joined Kent as a replacement for ten Doeschate. Kent County Cricket Club
Kent County Cricket Club is one of the eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Kent. A club representing the county was first founded in 1842 but Kent teams have played top-class cricket since the early 18th century, and the club has always held first-class status. The current Kent County Cricket Club was formed on 6 December 1870 following the merger of two representative teams. Kent have competed in the County Championship since the official start of the competition in 1890 and have played in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England. The club's limited overs team is called the Kent Spitfires after the Supermarine Spitfire. The county has won the County Championship seven times, including one shared victory. Jack Leaning
Jack Andrew Leaning (born 18 October 1993) is an English first-class cricketer. A right-handed batsman and right arm off-spin bowler, Leaning joined Kent County Cricket Club at the end of the 2019 season, having previously played all of his professional cricket for Yorkshire after making his professional debut in 2012. Leaning joined Yorkshire in 2008, starting at under 15 level. He went on to play for the Yorkshire Academy in the Yorkshire ECB County Premier League, and the Yorkshire Second XI in the Second XI Championship, before making his List A debut against Warwickshire in August 2012 and his first-class debut against Surrey in June 2013. Joey Evison
Joseph David Michael Evison (born 14 November 2001) is an English cricketer. He made his first-class debut on 16 September 2019, for Nottinghamshire in the 2019 County Championship. In October 2019, he was named in the England under-19 cricket team's squad for a 50-over tri-series in the Caribbean. Michael Hogan (cricketer)
Michael Garry Hogan (born 31 May 1981) is an Australian-English cricketer who has played for Glamorgan in English domestic cricket, and Western Australia and the Hobart Hurricanes in Australian matches. Born in Newcastle, New South Wales, Hogan originally played in local grade cricket matches, eventually moving to the Sydney grade cricket competition. A right-arm fast bowler, he was recruited to Western Australia prior to the 2009–10 season, and went on to make his debut in the first match of that season. A regular in Western Australia's first-class team from that season onwards, Hogan soon became one of the state's leading fast bowlers, taking 46 wickets in the 2011–12 season of the Sheffield Shield to finish second in the competition's wicket-taking. Glamorgan County Cricket Club ( cy, Criced Morgannwg) is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Glamorgan ( cy, Morgannwg). Founded in 1888, Glamorgan held minor status at first and was a prominent member of the early Minor Counties Championship before the First World War. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler who played for Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire County Cricket Club, Worcestershire.
