Kent-Meridian
Kent-Meridian High School is a high school located in Kent, Washington, United States, and part of the Kent School District. Kent-Meridian is one of four high schools in the Kent School District. It serves students in grades nine through twelve who live mainly in the south region of the district. Its principal is David Radford. History The school opened in its present form in 1951 when the Kent School District merged with the Panther Lake and Meridian School Districts. This new high school served all three districts. The former Kent High School building became Kent Junior High School. Athletics Kent-Meridian is part of the Cascade Division of the North Puget Sound League as of the 2016-17 school year. Kent-Meridian High School's athletic teams are known as the Royals. Teams compete at French Field located next to the school. The Kent School District #415 is a public school district in the State of Washington, headquartered in Kent. Covering , the Kent School District has 40 schools (28 elementary schools, six middle schools, two academy schools, and four high schools). With 26,891 enrolled students, it is the 4th largest school district in the state of Washington. The district employs 3,389 staff members, of whom 1,687 are teachers. In the mid-2000s, the school district completed a transition from junior high schools to middle schools. The 2004–2005 school year was the first year the ninth grade was at the high school level. Jeff Jaeger
Jeff Todd Jaeger (born November 26, 1964) is a former American college and professional football player who was a placekicker in the National Football League (NFL) for twelve seasons during the 1980s and 1990s. Jaeger played college football for the University of Washington, and received All-American honors. In the NFL, he played for the Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders and Chicago Bears. French Field
French Field is a multi-purpose stadium in the northwest United States, located in Kent, Washington, a suburb southeast of Seattle. It is a stadium for high school teams in the area including Kent-Meridian High School, Kentlake High School, Kentridge High School, and Kentwood High School football, soccer and track teams. The stadium is also home for the Seattle Majestics, a professional women's football team in the Women's National Football Conference and was home to the King County Jaguars, a semi-professional football team in the North American Football League. Robin Earl
Robin Danial Earl (born March 18, 1955) is a former professional American football player, who played as a full back and tight end in the National Football League (NFL). He played seven seasons for the Chicago Bears and two for the Birmingham Stallions of the United States Football League (USFL). High school Earl starred as a tailback at Kent-Meridian High School in Kent, Washington, southeast of Seattle, despite his frame more typical of a lineman or tight-end. Johnathon Lee Bronson (born July 8, 1982) is a former American football tight end for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Penn State. High school Bronson was a four-year letterman in football at Kent-Meridian High School in Kent, Washington. He was a first-team all-conference tight end and defensive end in his senior year there. Bronson finished his career with 48 receptions for 472 yards and two touchdowns Bronson had 80 tackles with 10 sacks and one interception as a senior. Morris Hiram "Red" Badgro (December 1, 1902 – July 13, 1998) was an American football player and football coach who also played professional baseball. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1981. A native of Orillia, Washington, he attended the University of Southern California (USC) where he played baseball, basketball, and football. He then played nine seasons of professional football as an end for the New York Yankees (1927–1928), New York Giants (1930–1935), and Brooklyn Dodgers (1936). Born with cerebral palsy, she has won medals for Team USA at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships, 2019 Parapan American Games, and 2019 World Para Athletics Championships. Although she was born with cerebral palsy, Roberts competed in soccer, wrestling, gymnastics and track growing up.
