Kennys Vargas
Kennys Vargas Gautier (born August 1, 1990), nicknamed "Gorilla", is a Puerto Rican professional baseball designated hitter and first baseman for the Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos of the Mexican League. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Minnesota Twins and in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Chiba Lotte Marines. Vargas has been compared to David Ortiz due to their similarities in size. Vargas stands tall and weighs about 275 pounds. On-base plus slugging (OPS) is a sabermetric baseball statistic calculated as the sum of a player's on-base percentage and slugging percentage. The ability of a player both to get on base and to hit for power, two important offensive skills, are represented.
