__NOTOC__ Kenneth Stirling Conservation Park is a protected area in the Australian state of South Australia consisting of five parcels of land located in the gazetted localities of Balhannah, South Australia, Balhannah, Basket Range, South Australia, Basket Range, Carey Gully, South Australia, Carey Gully, Forest Range, South Australia, Forest Range and Mount George, South Australia, Mount George about east of the state capital of Adelaide city centre, Adelaide. The conservation park was constituted under the ''National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972'' on 13 December 1990 in respect to several parcels of land in the Lands administrative divisions of South Australia, cadastral unit of the Hundred of Onkaparinga. The Hundred of Onkaparinga is a cadastral hundred of the County of Adelaide, South Australia, in the Adelaide Hills. It was proclaimed by Governor Frederick Robe in 1846 and named for the Onkaparinga River valley, which flows from north east to south west through the hundred. The main towns within the hundred are Woodside, Lobethal, Balhannah and, on the southern fringe, Hahndorf. The Adelaide suburb of Crafers is another major population centre in the hundred. Kenneth George Stirling (8 December 1935 – 8 November 1973) was a South Australian ecologist and philanthropist. History Stirling was born in Adelaide, the elder son of George Leonard Stirling, né Strassburg, (December 1895 – 28 November 1973) and his wife Flora Elizabeth Joy Stirling, née Russell, (1908– ) who married in 1934. He was educated at Quorn Primary School and Scotch College, Adelaide, followed by night studies at the University of Adelaide while employed in an accountant's office, and qualified B.Ec. in 1960. The lands administrative divisions of South Australia are the cadastral (i.e., comprehensively surveyed and mapped) units of counties and hundreds in South Australia.
