Kenneth MacDonald (20 November 1950 – 6 August 2001) was an English actor who was best known for the parts of Gunner Nobby Clark in ''It Ain't Half Hot Mum'' and Mike Fisher in ''Only Fools and Horses''. Personal life MacDonald was born in Manchester, the son of Scottish heavyweight wrestling champion Bill MacDonald, who died of kidney failure at the age of 43 when Kenneth was 13. He attended Xaverian College preparatory school in Fallowfield, Manchester, St Anthony's preparatory school in Stony Stratford, Buckinghamshire, and went on to St Bernardine's Franciscan College in Buckingham, where he took part in school productions, notably ''The Business of Good Government'', in which he played Herod, and '' Arsenic and Old Lace''. Ken left school at eighteen to help support his mother Emily. He took a job at a Kellogg's cornflakes factory. Ken McDonald (born 16 September 1945) is a Scottish former footballer who played as a defender. Career McDonald played in the Eastern Canada Professional Soccer League in 1966 with Hamilton Primos. He was selected to the league's all-star team in his debut season. In 1967, Hamilton joined the National Soccer League, and he featured in the O' Keefe Trophy final against Windsor Teutonia, but Hamilton lost the series. The following season he played in the North American Soccer League with Detroit Cougars. He appeared in 25 matches for Detroit. In 1975, he returned to the NSL to serve as a player-coach for Hamilton Italo-Canadians. Ken has a twin sister Maryanne. He married with wife Annie Louise McDonald after they met at Penn State. They have 3 children and his eldest son Ryan is following in his father's footsteps coaching. McDonald played for the Penn State Nittany Lions men's soccer team from 1975 to 1978. In 1979, McDonald played for both the San Jose Earthquakes and Tulsa Roughnecks of the North American Soccer League. In 1980, he moved to the Pennsylvania Stoners of the American Soccer League where he was a 1981 First Team All Star. Kenneth Michael McDonald (born March 4, 1970) is an American professional basketball coach, currently working as the Director of Student-Athlete Development at the University of Tennessee. He previously served as a head coach with the Austin Toros of the NBA Development League and at Western Kentucky University. McDonald spent from 2004 to 2008 at Texas under Rick Barnes. He previously worked as an assistant at Western Kentucky under Dennis Felton, from 1998–2003, helping the Hilltoppers reach the NCAA tournament during his final three seasons with the program. Kenneth MacDonald (born Kenneth Dollins; September 8, 1901 – May 5, 1972) was an American film actor. Born in Portland, Indiana, MacDonald made more than 220 film and television appearances between 1931 and 1970. His name is sometimes seen as Kenneth McDonald. Career MacDonald began his career as a stage actor. In 1923 he appeared in his first feature film, ''Slow as Lightning''. He came to Hollywood in the early 1930s, where he played small roles in low-budget, independent productions. In 1939 Kenneth MacDonald was signed by Columbia Pictures for the studio's Charles Starrett westerns.
