Kenneth Lusaka
Kenneth Makelo Lusaka (born 18 September 1963) is the 2nd and current governor of Bungoma County. Previously, he served as the speaker of Senate 017 -2022and was the 1st Governor of Bungoma County in Kemya, a term he served between 2013 - 2017 where he was defeated by Wycliffe Wafula Wangamati in the 2017 General Elections. Ekwee Ethuro
Ekwee David Ethuro (born 31 December 1963) is a Kenyan politician. He was elected as the first Speaker of the modern Kenyan Senate on 28 March 2013. From 1998 to 2013 he served as a Member of Parliament representing Turkana Central. He also served as the Assistant Minister for Planning and National Development from 1998 to 2002 under the government of President Daniel arap Moi. He was re-elected as Member of Parliament for Turkana Central in the 2007 general elections and steered the proceedings of the 10th Parliament in the position of acting Speaker of the House whenever the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker were absent. Bungoma County is a county in the former Western Province of Kenya. Its capital is Bungoma town. It has a population of 1,670,570 of which 812,146 are males 858,389 females as per the 2019 census and an area of 2,069 km2. It has nine constituencies, namely: Bumula, Kabuchai, Kanduyi, Kimilili, Mt. Elgon, Sirisia, Tongaren, Webuye East and Webuye West. Wycliffe Wangamati
Wycliffe Wafula Wangamati is a Kenyan national and politician who served as the 2nd Governor of Bungoma on a Ford Kenya ticket. Wangamati came to power after defeating Kenneth Lusaka in the 2017 election. In August 9th, 2022 election, he was again defeated by Kenneth Lusaka who was then the Speaker of the Senate. Wangamati only ruled Bungoma County for One term. Biography Wangamati was born and raised in Kanduyi.
