Kenneth Copeland Airport is a public airport located eighteen miles (29 km) northwest of the central business district (CBD) of Fort Worth, in Tarrant County, Texas, United States. The airport is used solely for general aviation purposes, mainly those of the airport's eponym, televangelist Kenneth Copeland (whose ministry is located near the airport). The airport was formerly known as Marine Corps Air Station Eagle Mountain Lake, until it was purchased by Kenneth Copeland Ministries in the 1980s. Kenneth Copeland
Kenneth Max Copeland (born December 6, 1936) is an American televangelist associated with the charismatic movement. The organization he founded in 1967, Eagle Mountain International Church Inc. (EMIC), is based in Tarrant County, Texas. Copeland's sermons are broadcast across the US and worldwide on the Victory Channel. Copeland has also written several books and resources. Marine Corps Air Station Eagle Mountain Lake
Marine Corps Air Station Eagle Mountain Lake (MCAS Eagle Mountain Lake) was a United States Marine Corps air station that was located northwest of Fort Worth, Texas during World War II. Commissioned on December 1, 1942, the air station was originally supposed to be the home of the Marine Corps glider program. When the program was cancelled in 1943 the station became home to the newly created Marine Night Fighting Squadrons. After the war the air station went into caretaker status in December 1946 and became an Outlying Landing Field of Naval Air Station Dallas.
