Kenneth Blankenbush
Kenneth D. Blankenbush (born September 14, 1947) is an American politician and a Republican member of the New York State Assembly. He succeeded former assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava, a liberal Republican who retired. Blankenbush is a longtime resident of Black River. His district includes Lewis County and parts of Oswego, Saint Lawrence and Jefferson Counties. Blankenbush graduated from Rush-Henrietta High School in Henrietta, New York. Upon completing two years at Monroe Community College, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in history from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. Le Ray, New York
Le Ray is a town in Jefferson County, New York, United States. The population was 25,574 at the 2020 census, up from 21,782 in 2010. The town is named for Jacques-Donatien Le Ray, known as a French "father of the American Revolution". The town is in the central part of the county and is northeast of Watertown. History Archaeological remains show the presence of aboriginal natives in the town. The region was part of Macomb's Purchase and was acquired by Gouverneur Morris and James Le Ray in 1800. Settlement began around 1802. The town was formed in 1806 from the town of Brownville and included a large portion of northern Jefferson County. Parts of the town were used to create the towns of Wilna, Alexandria, Theresa, Antwerp, and Philadelphia. Watertown is a city in, and the county seat of, Jefferson County, New York, United States. It is approximately south of the Thousand Islands, along the Black River about east of where it flows into Lake Ontario.
