Kennard ( ) is a city in Houston County, Texas, United States. Its population was 337 at the 2010 census. The main street is Texas State Highway 7. Geography Kennard is located in eastern Houston County at (31.355866, â95.185384). It is surrounded by Davy Crockett National Forest. State Highway 7 leads west to Crockett, the county seat, and northeast to Nacogdoches. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of , all of it land. The city is drained by forks of Cochino Bayou, an east-flowing tributary of the Neches River. Houston County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 census, its population was 22,066. Its county seat is Crockett.
