Kenmore East High School
Kenmore East High School (nicknamed Ken-East; also Kenmore East Senior High School) is a high school in the Town of Tonawanda, New York. Its name refers to the Village of Kenmore in New York. The school's mascot is a bulldog. The school was founded in 1959, and is the sister school to Kenmore West Senior High School. Overview Kenmore East is located in the Town of Tonawanda, New York, a suburb of Buffalo. It is one of three high schools within the Ken-Ton School District. Niagara Power
History The Niagara Power is a collegiate summer baseball franchise which currently competes in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League, a league designed to give college-eligible players an opportunity to compete while furthering their development and being scouted for professional consideration. Their home games are played at Sal Maglie Stadium in Niagara Falls, New York. The Power was established in 2007 by its first president and owner, Cal Kern, who operated the team in affiliation with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. The Power, upon its inception, entered and competed in the New York Collegiate Baseball League. The team remained in the league until the conclusion of the 2015 season, after which Kern ceased operations. Jeffrey Todd Glor (born July 12, 1975) is an American journalist, co-host of ''CBS Saturday Morning '' and a CBS News special correspondent. He had previously anchored the ''CBS Evening News'' from 2017 to 2019. James Edward Oberg (born November 7, 1944) is an American space journalist and historian, regarded as an expert on the Russian and Chinese space programs. He had a 22-year career as a space engineer in NASA specializing in orbital rendezvous. Oberg is an author of ten books and more than a thousand articles on space flight. Billy Sheehan
William Sheehan (born March 19, 1953) is an American musician. He is best known for playing the bass guitar with acts such as Talas, Steve Vai, David Lee Roth, Mr. Big, Niacin, and The Winery Dogs. He is also known for his "lead bass" playing style, including the use of chording, two-handed tapping, "three-finger picking" technique and controlled feedback. Cal Kern is the president and owner of the Niagara Power, an amateur baseball team and the New York State Director of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is a retired professional soccer goalkeeper and the father of NFL punter Brett Kern. Soccer Kern graduated from Kenmore East High School. He attended Buffalo State College where he played on the men’s soccer team from 1968 to 1971. He was the 1971 First Team All American goalkeeper. On February 9, 1972, the Toronto Metros selected him in the first round with the third overall pick in the North American Soccer League draft.
