Keniucho Harada
Kenuichio Harada, also known as the original Silver Samurai, is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. A mutant with the power to charge his own katana, the character first appeared in '' Daredevil'' #111 (July 1974), and was created by writer Steve Gerber and artist Bob Brown. The character is depicted usually as a recurring nemesis of Wolverine. The character has appeared in several X-Men-related animated series and video games. Kenuichio Harada made its live-action debut in the 2013 film '' The Wolverine'', played by Will Yun Lee. David Finch (comics)
David Finch is a comics artist known for his work on Top Cow Productions' '' Cyberforce'', as well as numerous subsequent titles for Marvel Comics and DC Comics, such as '' The New Avengers'', '' Moon Knight'', ''Ultimatum'', and ''Brightest Day''. He has provided album cover art for the band Disturbed, and done concept art for films such as ''Watchmen''. Katana
A is a Japanese sword characterized by a curved, single-edged blade with a circular or squared guard and long grip to accommodate two hands. Developed later than the ''tachi'', it was used by samurai in feudal Japan and worn with the edge facing upward. Since the Muromachi period, many old ''tachi'' were cut from the root and shortened, and the blade at the root was crushed and converted into ''katana''. Shingen Yashida is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics as an adversary of Wolverine. The character was played by Hiroyuki Sanada in the 2013 film '' The Wolverine''. Saturday Night Live Samurai
In the early years of the 1970s comedy TV show ''Saturday Night Live'', John Belushi portrayed an archetypal samurai — he had a dedicated concept of honor, spoke only (mock) Japanese, and wielded a katana. Sketches featuring the character showed him in different occupations that would not be expected for a samurai. He always performed his tasks perfectly, despite scaring his clients quite a few times. The character was modeled after Toshiro Mifune's character in Akira Kurosawa's ''Yojimbo''. Samurai Futaba would probably not have become a recurring character if not for Buck Henry's insistence that there be a second sketch featuring him when he first hosted on January 17, 1976. John Adam Belushi (January 24, 1949 – March 5, 1982) was an American comedian, actor, and musician, best known for being one of the seven original cast members of the NBC sketch comedy show ''Saturday Night Live'' (''SNL'').
