Kenisha Bell
Kenisha Bell is an American professional basketball player. Bell began her college career at Marquette University and then played for the University of Minnesota. Professionally she played briefly with the Minnesota Lynx. Family and early years Bell was born in Chicago, IL the daughter of Aishia Bell and Brian Townsend. She has nine brothers, three of whom play college basketball, and seven sisters. Her brother Brandon Bell ran track at Marquette University. She majored in communications at the University of Minnesota. College career After starting her college career with Marquette in 2014, Bell transferred to Minnesota the following season. After redshirting her first year, Bell spent three seasons with Minnesota and made one trip to the NCAA tournament in the 2017–18 season. 2019 WNBA Draft
The 2019 WNBA draft was the league's draft for the 2019 WNBA season. On March 19, the league announced the draft would be held on April 10 at Nike New York headquarters. The first round was televised on ESPN2, and the second and third rounds were televised on ESPNU. On August 28, 2018, the league held the draft lottery between the four non-playoff teams – Indiana, New York, Las Vegas, and Chicago. The Aces won the top pick for the third year in a row. The 2019 WNBA season of the Minnesota Lynx will be their 21st season in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The Lynx finished the 2018 season with a record of 18–16, finishing fourth in the Western Conference and seventh overall in the league, while qualifying for the playoffs, before ultimately being beat by Los Angeles in the first Round of the 2018 WNBA Playoffs. On February 5, 2019, Maya Moore announced that she would not be playing in the 2019 season citing a need to spend more time with family and to focus on her ministry dreams. The ''Minnesota Daily'' is the campus newspaper of the University of Minnesota, published Monday and Thursday while school is in session, and published weekly on Wednesdays during summer sessions. Published since 1900, the paper is currently the largest student-run and student-written newspaper in the United States and the largest paper in the state of Minnesota behind the ''Minneapolis Star Tribune'' and the ''St. Paul Pioneer Press''. The ''Daily'' was named best daily college newspaper in the United States in 2009 and 2010 by the Society of Professional Journalists. The paper is independent from the University, but receives $500,000 worth of student service fees funding.
