Kendall Trainor
Kendall Trainor (born July 8, 1967) from Fredonia, Kansas is a former All-American placekicker for the University of Arkansas in 1988. He led the nation in field goals per game as a senior in 1988 under head coach Ken Hatfield. Trainor, in addition to setting five school records, was a first-team All-Southwest Conference selection following his senior year and a first-team All-American on teams selected by the American Football Coaches Association, the Associated Press, the Walter Camp Foundation and ''The Sporting News''. Fredonia, Kansas
Fredonia is a city in and the county seat of Wilson County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 2,151. The city was founded in 1868, and saw considerable expansion in the early 20th century, with a fossil fuel boom. History Fredonia was laid out in 1868 near a large hillock located along the St. Louis & San Francisco Railway in southeast Kansas. It was named after Fredonia, New York. The first building on the town site was a general store, erected in 1868, on the southwest corner of the town square, soon followed by a simple courthouse and hotel. The first post office was established in August 1868. The Gold Dust Hotel was completed in 1885. It became a booming town with an emphasis on large industry. Naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM) and technologically enhanced naturally occurring radioactive materials (TENORM) consist of materials, usually industrial wastes or by-products enriched with radioactive elements found in the environment, such as uranium, thorium and potassium and any of their decay products, such as radium and radon. Produced water discharges and spills are a good example of entering NORMs into the surrounding environment. Natural radioactive elements are present in very low concentrations in Earth's crust, and are brought to the surface through human activities such as oil and gas exploration or mining, and through natural processes like leakage of radon gas to the atmosphere or through dissolution in ground water.
