Ken Rich
Ken Rich (born 1967 in Seattle, Washington, United States) is an American producer, engineer, composer and musician. He began playing violin at age five, tuba at age nine and moved on to the electric bass at age 15. After majoring in philosophy at Oberlin College while pursuing intensive jazz studies with Wendell Logan and Donald Byrd, he moved to New York City in 1991. He quickly ensconced himself in the session and live music scene of New York playing bass on David Byrne's "It Goes Back", "Offbeat - a Red Hot Soundtrip", Shabba Ranks' 1993 Grammy Award-winning album "X-Tra Naked", and Laurie Anderson's "In Our Sleep" with Lou Reed. Mr. Rich was a member of Babatunde Olatunji’s NYC-based band from 1994 until Olatunji's death in 2004. Our Shadows Will Remain
''Our Shadows Will Remain'' is the fourth studio album by Joseph Arthur. The album was released in the US on September 28, 2004, on 12" vinyl and October 12, 2004, on CD, then in the UK on July 11, 2005, on CD and double 12" vinyl. The recording sessions also spawned the companion EP, ''And the Thieves Are Gone.'' There were four singles released when the album was picked up for UK distribution by 14th Floor Records. An extensive nationwide tour of the US followed the album's release, including dates with Joan Wasser. In 2005, Arthur went on a brief tour throughout Europe with R.E.M. Leah Siegel
Leah Siegel is an American singer-songwriter and musician performing under the name Firehorse. Siegel wrote a song in a commercial for Topsy Foundation, which promotes early childhood development in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa. The commercial won a Clio Award, Grand LIA and award at Cannes, in addition to being named an "ad worth spreading" by the nonprofit group TED Conference. The 90-second clip was shown in its entirety in the ''It's not all doom and gloom'' section of Russell Howard's Good News on BBC2 in 2010. The Gutter Twins
The Gutter Twins was a musical collaboration between rock musicians Greg Dulli and Mark Lanegan. Dulli and Lanegan had regularly contributed to each other's projects since 2000, most notably in Dulli's Twilight Singers; of the duo's origins, Dulli said "I think Mark told a journalist we were doing it, and then the journalist called me, and I didn't know we were doing it." On Christmas Day 2003, Dulli and Lanegan began work on the collaboration.
